The Volkswagen German based carmaker will recently introduce the Golf R Launch Edition in the United States, where the model will cost $39,090 for the base entry-level, without the $820 destination fees.

Since we are talking about an R version, the powertrain was the first that caught my attention. The model will be fitted with a 2.0-liter TSI unit, developing a good 292 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, hooked to a 6-speed DSG dual clutch transmission.
The model will be thus capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h.
The Volkswagen Golf R Launch Edition is also gorgeous in terms of visuals, as it comes with some interesting features, like the bi-xenon headlights or the 19-inch Cadis aluminum wheels.
Inside, the Golf R Launch Edition is standing well too, being fitted with a lot of safety gizmos, such as the DCC Adaptive system, GPS navigation, Park Distance Control, or a high-performance audio system.
