Volkswagen unveiled the Variant, or better said wagon, version of the all new Golf generation. The new model benefits from more space inside as well as a spacious boot.
In terms of styling, you won’t find any major modifications compared to the hatchback model. New five spoke alloy wheels, silver roof rails and slightly revised rear optical blocks are available indeed.
Under the hood, power will be provided by 1.2-liter TSI engine producing 85hp and 105hp, a more powerful 1.4-liter with 122hp and 140hp but also diesel units with outputs ranging from 105hp to 150hp.
The new VW Golf Variant will join the lineup at Geneva with the new high-performance GTI version unveiled few days ago but also with the more frugal GTD, Plug-in Hybrid and e-Golf models.
The actual model pictured above is the diesel-powered BlueMotion TSI version, most likely sporting a range-topping trim level.
