Given today’s automotive market conditions you’d be easily forgiven for thinking everybody makes tons of SUVs and that buyers only use them for the wrong motive.
Generalization doesn’t work to the best of our advantages but that’s mostly true. The one that stands out is the Volvo XC90.
The typically sensible Swedish design of the company has shined through and they’ve managed to produce what’s probably the best family car out there.
Debating this is pointless to me. Even if you don’t agree, you won’t be able to deny the fact that it’s one of the top runners.
This is the model that was just given a facelift in order to properly present itself as a 2013 vehicle.
Like a lot of luxury cars that go through the same procedure, the Volvo XC90 is clearly a nicely detailed evolution of the original vehicle.
Outside, there’s body-color bumpers, side skirts and wheel arches and quite a bit of extra chrome on some of the exterior bits.
Depending on the trim level you opt for, you’ll also see LED daytime running lights and 19 inch alloys.
Volvo continued the minute handy work on the interior with silver imitating aluminum trim for the dashboard. There’s a hint of white in the instrumentation now and a leather strap on the tailgate.
With the more upmarket trim levels, the interior package also includes finer leather and special floor mats.
On the tech side, the rain sensitive windshield wipers and headlight washers are now standard equipment on all the models of the 2013 Volvo XC90.
The model is already on sale but Volvo will charge you a shade under 40.000 USD for one of their new 2013 XC90.
