The Volkswagen German based manufacturer is now on its seventh-generation Golf, with model coming now with a high-end TDI SportWagen Concept, that promises a lot in terms of performance and technology.
The Concept is actually a previewer of the Golf TDI SportWagen that will be officially launched next week at the 2014 New York Auto Show, with the wagon also coming in the US at the beginning of 2015.
The VW Golf TDI SportWagen seen in the pictures uses a TDI engine and the Group`s 4Motion all-wheel drive. More than that, the wagon will be launched on the market with a 1.8 TSI and a 2.0 TSI engine.
The first engine uses a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed one, while the second engine enhances a six-speed DSG dual-clutch or also the common six-speed manual.
A spokesperson from the Volkswagen Group stated that the Golf TDI SportWagen might be offered with a front-wheel system as well, once the car will be entering production next year.
We will be able to find out more next week, perhaps about the car`s interior and the goodies it promises inside.
