The 2015 Ford Mustang GT will get a massive 700 horsepower due to Whipple Superchargers that will enhance the supercar with a supercharged kit.
We are talking about an upgraded unit of the already 5.0-liter V8 engine present on the current model. The upgrade refers to a 2.9-liter twin-screw supercharger, with a presuming 99% volumetric efficiency, being installed with all most no modification to the engine.
According to the sources, the upgrade would also include air-to-water intercooler, high-flow fuel injectors, high-flow intake and exhaust system as well.
With the present Mustang GT sporting 420 horsepower, the Whipple upgrade will add 280 horses, which will throttle the supercar in a relatively short period of time.
More than that, Whipple`s supercharged kit has a “discharge down” design which actually provides the GT with more power “at lower boost levels”.
With these fine touches and upgrades, the 2015 Ford Mustang GT is supposed to be more fuel-efficient than the present model.
If proved successful, Whipple will continue upgrading the Ford Mustang GT with feature cold-air intake and throttle body kits.
