Hyundai couldn’t hold up until the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show to fully unveil one of their bread and butter vehicles, the i30 hatchback.

In taking their rival for the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus the Koreans have come forward with a very impressive looking design and a fresh looking interior.

The new Hyundai corporate face is worn well by the 2012 version of the i30 and on top of the Asian looking lines and creases there’s something else to notice here.

That’s how the brand new 2012 Hyundai i30 is no longer a bland compact but a bold looking one which should charm the youngest of drivers away from the aging rival hatchbacks.

It’s not exactly certain what Hyundai predicts but 2010 saw their i30 lose out in terms of sales big time to the more established names despite the considerably lower price tag.

A quick statistic sees VW selling about 500.000 units of the Golf in Europe each year whereas Hyundai’s i30 struggles with reaching a quarter of that standing at just 115.000 units.

Beating, or at least catching up to the established names isn’t going to be easy for the i30 but Hyundai does make a few serious points in its favor.

On top of the looks, the interior, equipment and pricing, the 2012 Hyundai i30 is promised to come with the Five Year Triple Care package.

This package includes a five year warranty, road size assistance and some regular service checks thrown in as well.
