Infiniti Australia has recently announced the introduction of the all-new 2016 Q50 on the hot continent, the model being available from $53,900 and going all the way up to $87,790. The car`s most important highlight is the new powertrain it will come with.
We are dealing here with the new two extremely potent engines offered in the S Premium and Red Sport high-end versions. This refers to a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine, with 224 kW and 400 Nm of torque offered in the S Premium, and 298 kW and 475 Nm of torque in the Red Sport.
The S Premium`s power is achieved thanks to the new intercooler with single water pump, while the Red Sport comes with two water pumps for the intercooler.
Besides the high-performance 3.0-liter twin-turbo, the all-new 2016 Infiniti Q50 will be also offered with other three engines, like the 2.0-liter turbo with 155 kW, followed by a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel as well as a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid, with an overall of 268 kW. The latter one allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the model comes with a 7.3L / 100 km for the 2.0-liter petrol, 5.2L / 100 km for the diesel, as well as 6.8L / for the rear-wheel drive hybrid. The new 224 kW turbo burns out 9.2L / 100 km while the 298 kW Red Sport is the leader with 9.3L / 100 km.
