However, the upgrades inside the cabin are what impresses the most. On the exterior, Lexus has made little to no changes. Except for a stylized grille and new LED headlights, there is not much to talk about. The Japanese automaker is also offering a new color along with a new wheel design.

Headlight:

In terms of safety, the new Safety System 2.5 comes standard on all trims. The new system works better than the previous one with enhancements to the front-facing camera and millimeter-wave radar system. The fresh upgrade means the car will be able to detect obstacles much better and provide an accurate response.

The previous generation Lexus ES earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The base ES features a 203-hp 2.5-liter inline-4. One step above is the ES 350 with a 302-hp 3.5-liter V-6, and at the top of the range is the ES 300h with a 2.5-liter inline-4-based hybrid setup good for 215hp. Front-wheel drive is standard, with only the ES 250 available with all-wheel drive.

Lexus says that pricing and option availability will be revealed closer to the car’s release date, which is currently expected to take place in Fall 2021.

About the SUV`s luxurious looks, Lexus Australia chief executive Scott Thompson declared that “The UX delivers a fresh and contemporary appeal to young buyers seeking new and exciting experiences relevant to their lifestyles. For many of them, this will not only be their first Lexus vehicle, but also their first entry into the luxury segment.”

According to Toyota`s luxury division Lexus, the new UX, which is derived from Urban Crossover, is set to come very premium against the likes of the new Q2 from Audi or the X1 from BMW. This means adopting a more luxurious and sportier looks, along with some powerful engines under the hood.

Available in three trims, the Luxury, Sports Luxury and top of the line F Sport, the new 2019 Lexus UX in all both its versions (the UX 200 and UX 250h), doesn’t make any compromises when it comes to aesthetics and luxury feel. It comes standard with 17- to 18-inch alloy wheels, a gorgeous design language and plenty of high-tech gadgetries under the hood. The F Sport however does separate from the lineup with additional features.

Inside, also standard is a 10.3-inch digital media display with eight-speaker stereo with digital radio, along with a 7.0-inch TFT digital display for the instrument cluster. The mid-entry Sports Luxury features additional gizmos such as panoramic parking cameras, 13-speaker Mark Levinson, leather upholstery and ventilated front seats.

The latter one might arrive at a later date in Australian`s showrooms.

In the engine department, the new LC 500 will be wearing a massive 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with 351 kW and 530 Nm of torque, being sent to the wheels via the carmaker`s new and high-performance ten-speed automatic transmission. This would be the same engine and transmission also seen on other models like the RC F and GS F.

With such an impressive performance, the all-new 2017 Lexus LC 500 will also deliver a worthy sprint from 0 to 100 km/h – just 4.5 seconds, quite astonishing and placing it near the RC F. On the other hand, the sports coupe is faster than the GS F with 0.1 seconds.

In Australia, the 2017 Lexus LC 500 is considered the official successor of the LFA sports car. Prices haven’t been confirmed, but according to new reports, the entry-level tag will stand at around $180,000. Toyota`s luxury division Lexus has also released a teaser image which previews the all-new 2017 LS high-end model, which is said to lead the way in the luxury segment.

Once arriving on the market next year, the 2017 Lexus LS going is not going to be just an ordinary luxurious sedan, as it will encompass the most advanced technology in terms of driving dynamics and gadgetry.

From a visual perspective, the new LS will stand on the company`s new GA-L high-performance platform, which is the same underpinning other flagships, like the new LC Coupe. This means that it will make use of lightweight materials, making it more agile and comprising a wide range of engines.

There are little details concerning the looks of the new LS, but judging from the teaser image, the model is going to come with advanced aerodynamics, highlighted by the company`s newest spindle grille layout, along with sharp angular headlights which will increase the sporty feel and look.
