Following the concept`s debut in Beijing some time ago, the all-new 2019 Volkswagen Touareg has finally been revealed in China as well, with an official video to highlight the SUV`s gorgeous design, features and main highlights.

The reason for choosing China is that the Asian market is presently the biggest in the world, a segment that also seems to be profitable for the Volkswagen Group. The model is also set to arrive towards the second quarter of the year.

The new 2019 Touareg distinguishes from the previous model with a revised design language with more evolutionary highlights.

According to the company, the 2019 Volkswagen Touareg is the most gorgeous ever seen so far, benefiting from the best visual elements, and boasting technology at its finest, enhancing all together the best comfort and handling.

The car looks refreshed with the new ‘IQ.Ligth – LED matrix headlights’ which comprise “interactive, camera-based dipped and main beam headlight control”, along with a wide range of the latest safety features – Night Vision and Roadwork, Front Cross Traffic Assist, Lane Assist.

There is also the active all-wheel steering, electro-mechanically controlled anti-roll bars or roll stabilizations, all increasing the SUV`s stability and handling capabilities.

Inside, people are welcomed by the new Innovision design concept with the latest high-tech gizmos – 12.0-inch display for the Digital Cockpit, Discover Premium Infotainment system with 15.0-inch display as well, and plenty of other tweaks which make it ahead of its time.

Standing on the company`s new MLB platform, the 2019 Volkswagen Touareg is longer and wider, offering practical solutions inside and under the hood. Speaking of space inside, the new SUV now comes with an 810-liter luggage capacity with the rear seats up.

As for performance under the hood, the new model is equipped with no less than two V6 turbodiesels, with power between 240 PS and 286 PS, adding as well a V6 petrol engine with 340 PS. There is also a V8 diesel with 420 PS. In China, Volkswagen will also launch a plug-in hybrid variant with 370 PS, shortly followed by a European variant later on this year.
