While the exterior of the 911 has seen some modification, courtesy of Caractere Exclusive, most of the alteration has taken place inside the cabin, as is often the case with Carlex Design builds. Opting for an electric blue theme, the new interior looks amazing.

Using the same hue as the body paint, various trims were combined with the leather upholstery for a unique effect. For that finer accent, blue stitching was used for most of the upholstery. All in all, it is a good effort from Carlex Design, and we hope to see some more.

Now the Ariel Atom 3S is revealed, and as good as the first Atom was, this one is so much better.

Having time to perfect the design, Ariel and TMI AutoTech, the North American manufacturer recently presented teh Atom 3S doing a lap around the Virginia International Raceway. Hailed as an improvement even over the Ariel Atom V8, the 3S sports a 2.4 liter Honda engine which was taken up to 365 Hp and 420 Nm of torque, and an adjustable traction control system was put in place.

Three choice of transmissions are offered with the Ariel Atom 3S: the standard, the close ratio and a new Sadev 6 speed sequential. Other features include a full glass windshield, an LCD display and a composite seat for the driver. All for the meager sum of just €70,800.

That is until the Panamera came out, and I moved on to other brands.

While the two are not connected, I do feel that the Panamera is the ugly duckling among the other models, and in a recent statement, Porsche CEO Matthias Müller sort of admitted this himself. His exact words were “there have been some small mistakes” when it came to design.

Of course, Porsche plans to rectify all these “small” flaws and with the next generation of Porsche Panamera, a refined vehicle will be offered. The new Panamera will also premiere the use of the brand new Porsche V8 engine, according to Left Lane News. This all sounds nice, and I will keep an eye out to see if they will really rectify the design.

It seems that Maria Lucia Mugno, the owner of the Fiat, decided to first take this challenge up after a peculiar bet with a friend.

And after setting a record back in 2010, she is now back for more with this classic Fiat 500. Taking some 150 hours of work, this project took around 20 kg of human hair to complete, mostly imported from India, which seems to be stronger than European sourced hair (that is some trivia for you).

While such a car might seems a tad disgusting for some, it seems that not only did it get a Guinness World Record title but also bumped the price up on the car to a whooping €80,000. And until a willing buyer emerges, Maria will be driving the Fiat 500 on a regular basis.

Jean Todt, the general manager of the Ferrari Formula 1 team from 1993 to 2007, came out with an optimistic statement about Schumi’s recovery.

He seems fairly certain that Schumacher will make a full recovery and be able to live a relatively normal life. This is great news after the long period he has been comatose. It also helps a great lot that he is now back home, where he can recuperate.

But if one thing seems certain is that Michael Schumacher will not be returning to racing F1 cars. The long ahead of him is “long and difficult”, but with the help of the family, hopes are high that Schumacher will recover in time. Let’s just hope not much more media coverage will be needed regarding this incident.

Speaking of your everyday Porsche, it seems that the 911, Porsche’s bread and butter, might get a hybrid variant in a future generation. While not confirming anything for certain, Porsche CEO Matthias Müller did respond with “of course, why not?” when asked about the possibility of a hybrid 911.

But even if this does pan out and the Porsche 911 does get a hybrid drivetrain, chances are we won’t see it anytime sooner than 2018. Also, should they bring such a drivetrain to the 911, It should be expected that it will come a bit later on, with Porsche first offering some four cylinder gasoline only engines.

Now, Daimler Chairman Dr. Dieter Zetsche came out and said that this will not happen.

His exact words were “no plans to increase our stake or takeover”. And while the message is quite clear, I am still a bit intrigued about the rumor. Was there any truth to it, and if yes, what are the reasons behind the deal falling through?

Thing is, few car makers can still say they are independent, and being taken over by a bigger manufacturer is the norm. Also the companies that get taken over tend to prosper under new leadership. Right now, it seems that the partnership between Mercedes and Aston Martin will simply resume to AMG building some V8 egines for Aston Martin to use in their next Vantage.

While some bring production cars, other bring pre-production concepts, and others just bring concepts for the sake of bragging.

I would say that Citroen fall into the latter category, at least if we are to judge by their Divine DS concept. While the Divine DS does not preview a new DS model, nor any other model, it does look awfully stunning. It purpose seems to be that of presenting the world with the French manufacturer’s “vision of the DS brand”.

Calling the DS a brand seems a bit off, but then Citroen official went on to say that starting next year, the DS will indeed become a brand completely detached from Citroen (or at least in name). The Citroen Divine DS sports a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine capable of delivering 270 Hp and 330 Nm. Inside it looks amazingly stylish, as you would expect from a show-only concept.

The Nismo variant of the Juke has been out for a while now, and now we get to see how much you can pay for the one better than that.

Calling it the Nissan Juke Nismo RS, the new and improved Juke Nismo was presented at the Geneva Auto Show. The very cheapest you can buy will still set you back some €26,950, and that is just for Europe. If you want the all wheel drive version, you need to be ready with at least €30,500.

Compared to the Nissan Juke Nismo, the RS has a reworked engine, a sharper chassis set up and a new set of brakes for better stopping power. If that is not enough for you, you can fork out additional money and grab a set of Recaro seats or Nissan’s Around View Monitor or maybe some xenon headlights. The Nissan Juke Nismo RS will go on sale this December.
