Sometime back in 2008, the now multi-billionaire, Elon Musk’s company Tesla rolled out its pioneer vehicle model. This was the iconic Roadster, which ran entirely on electric power, forever altering the path taken by electrified vehicles across the globe. Since then, the company has managed to construct mega factories that continuously supply Tesla vehicles all over the world. To date, there are 4 top of the line Tesla models, and mass debates have grown regarding the feasibility of purchasing the car. This short review takes a look at the pros of purchasing your won Tesla car in the year 2022.

Tesla Overview: Reliability

By making use of annual automobile polls, we get to acquire a clearer view from tens of thousands of customers, and how they would rate their cars in tens of reliability. From these, we can conclude that Teslas are, to the most part, quite reliable for average city travel. The latest ones even come with an accurate self-drive function that effectively gives passengers the time to do other things on the move, things such as phone calls, texting or even the more exciting online gambling games for real money.

Mileage

While there are a dozen other components to do with reliability, we go with Mileage as it is the basic need for just about every driver. Well good news at that, where the most efficient Tesla model range can cover up to 326 miles on a single charge, and the rest covering a skimpy, but still understandable 300 miles or so.

Pricing

The pricing is a big part of this review. While Tesla vehicles are not exactly known for cheap price tags, choosing the right model can see you spending something around $40,000, which is basically the same price you would need for the modern day bakkie or urban SUV and Mini-Van. But if your budget is tight you can play sa online casino games and stand a chance to win cash prizes.

Final Verdict

While Teslas are, on the most part, a good by, it is only reasonable to mention how the cars may not exactly be suited to countries in which the company itself is not branched out in. Other than that, all suggestions go to say that buying a Tesla, of any model, is one purchase you will not regret.

Buying a car might not be an investment when it comes to financial value, but it definitely is when it comes to practicality. But what is the best choice: buying a used or new car?

When you’re in the market for a new car, you have a lot of choices to make before buying one. There are plenty of options available to you and it’s important to know what you want before jumping into the ocean of alternatives.

You’ll have to decide the make and model of your preferred car, do you want a BMW electric car, or maybe a Range Rover? But more importantly – are you entering the market for used cars or brand new ones? The reason that this decision is so important is that it will affect your finances over the next several years.

Your choices also depend on what you can afford, how much are you able and willing to spend on a car. For those of us who don’t have a full savings account or other kinds of money laying around, our options will be determined on whether or not we qualify for a loan. Make sure you have your financing in order before you start looking for a car.

Upsides and Downsides to a New Car

One of the biggest advantages of going for a new car is that the car often comes with a warranty and that the car usually requires few repairs during the first years of using it. Therefore, you can use time and money on maintenance instead to keep the value from dropping even more.

New cars also have the latest technology so it’s easier to find cars with benefits like lower emissions and good gas mileage, among other things. They are also better when it comes to technical features like playing music from your phone and navigations systems. The new Tesla can even park by itself, and pick you up outside a mall when you’re done shopping.

You often hear that you lose money as soon as you drive a new car out of the dealership. New cars take their biggest depreciation in the first couple of years – this might be the biggest disadvantage of buying a brand new car.

Also, if you buy a new model of a car you could become kind of a test subject – during the first year, the manufacturer might switch engines or do alterations to the design which might result in problems for the buyer later.

Upsides and Downsides to a Used Car

Logically, the most important advantage of going for a used car is that someone else will have taken the biggest depreciation hit on the car like explained earlier. This means that if you’re good at maintaining your car you might be able to sell it for approximately the same amount that you bought it for.

It’s also great that a lot of other people has tested out the model and might have shared their experience with the car online so that you can do proper research and be fully informed before you make a choice of model. The insurance rates might also be lower on a pre-owned car than on a brand new one, which can save you some money.

Of course, an older car may need more repairs and might not be as reliable as a new one, but technology has improved and made cars more reliable and many cars can go without repairs for nearly 10 years.

When you buy a pre-owned car you might also have to let some of your preferences go, for example when it comes to color and interior, mileage and the car’s general history.

Generally, you have to be more flexible and patient when looking for a used car, which is why many people would rather buy a new one.

The 2018 SEMA show taking place each year in the hot Las Vegas, United States, it`s home to thousands of bizarre, classic, vintage and mostly upgraded sports cars and supercars, in attempt to show that everything is possible in the auto business.

So yes, we might say that the show is entirely dedicated to tuning firms or hardcore divisions from different car manufacturers, wanting to display their most outrageous and most impressive rides. We have seen plenty of aftermarket shops playing around muscle cars or sports cars from Europe as well.

From the United States, StreetFighter LA tuning company was also present at the 2018 SEMA show, displaying at Toyo stand a classic Porsche heavily modified under the hood, and which develops no less than 700 horsepower.

Well, nothing ordinary until here, except the fact that this 1977 Porsche 911 Coupe is packing a fully-electric motor taken from Tesla Motors. Now, the real question: why in the hell would you wrap a Porsche with an electric motor? It might be just for show off or just for the sake of playing around with such extravagant customizations.

The electric motor comes with its full original mechanical parts, enabling no less than 700 horsepower at the crank and 563 horsepower at the wheels, which is amazing. And all was achieved without any modifications to the exterior.

Even so, on the outside, this 1977 Porsche Coupe looks extremely unusual with the new aftermarket bits fitted over the original body, which made this classic quite a delight in Las Vegas.

As we can depict from the media gallery below, we see massive bolt-on fender flares on all corners, along with adjustable suspension or BBW alloy wheels. As for new interior bits, the technicians from StreetFighter LA have also added a roll cage, seats with no headrests and some new materials all around.

StreetFighter LA has also released a media gallery displaying its project at the 2018 SEMA Show, taking place in Las Vegas. Enjoy and don’t forget to tell us if you like what you see!

When you think of Tesla, you don’t necessarily think of transporting goods with big trucks. In fact, you think of small, sporty, electric vehicles designed to go fast and be friends with the environment. As it happens, Tesla is also producing electric trucks. Being at a time where the past, present and future of the automotive industry come together, FedEx, the transport and logistics company has decided to purchase 20 Tesla trucks. FedEx is making a statement regarding the protection for the environment, while also modernizing its transport fleet.

It will be interesting o see how Tesla’s trucks will handle transporting goods for FedEx. It is important for transport companies and companies in general to move towards completely electric solutions. This will contribute to the reduction of pollution. This is what most would call investing in the future. By ordering these electric trucks, FedEx has also helped Tesla gain the necessary funds to further develop its technology. In the end, it might be FedEx that will profit from Tesla’s future development.

The idea of having things delivered with environmentally friendly trucks is quite interesting. This new approach should also help lower the prices of the transported goods. In fact, the advantages of adopting electric trucks over the classic fuel based ones are quite a lot. FedEx is one of the first transport companies to move in this direction. We’ll have to see if other big companies will follow this example. The whole problem here is profitability. Companies are not yet convinced of how profitable electric vehicles are. In theory, electric vehicles should be the best choice. Until we have precise examples of how efficient electric vehicles are for transporting goods, things will most likely move slowly in this area.

No matter how you look at this situation, the fact that Tesla decided to choose to upgrade a part of its transport fleet with electric trucks is definitely a step forward for the transport industry. There is a good chance that by doing this FedEx will give an example to other undecided companies. At this point, we can only wait to see how and when this mechanism will start to work. The automotive industry is clearly heading for a big change. This change is the result of a new view on the technology used in vehicles, but also of companies like FedEx that are constantly looking for ways to improve services and profitability through innovation.

Even if the North American based Tesla carmaker has literally no competitors on the market with its wide range of extremely efficient electric vehicles, not even from BMW`s i3 or i8, the company didn’t rest on its laurels and has already released that long-expected electrified vehicle which comes with the highest battery pack ever built so far, and the longest mile range achieved yet.

It is all about the newly announced Tesla Model S 100D, which comes, as the name suggests, with a massive 100 kWh battery, and an impressive mile range worth-mentioning in the Guinness Book of Records.

The Tesla Model S 100D has also received a NEDC certification which basically records an official range of 632 km, way too more impressive than the stock P100D model, with 613 km.

Performance wise, the Tesla Model S 100D is also mind-blowing, coming with the “D” electric motors (“Dual” electric motors), sending the power to all wheels, and covering the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in a blasting 4.4 seconds.

This is less impressive than the P100D`s straight line run of just 2.7 seconds, but even so, it does manage to stir everybody`s anxiety, especially if we are talking here about a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat or a BMW M5.

The Tesla Model S 100D is the company`s latest electric motor to come with such an impressive mile range, following the legendary Model X 100D, which offers a NEDC-certified range of 295 miles. You can find out the full technical details in the images offered below by the carmaker.

Tesla has big plans with its range of models, and these plans start with the Model S P100D, which will become even faster from 0 to 100 km/h.

We are looking here at the so called “Easter egg” software update, which will make the car`s Ludicrous mode much faster. Elon Musk, CEO at Tesla, has also confirmed the news on his Twitter account:

“Looks like the Model S P100D Easter egg will allow it to do a 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and a 10.6 sec ¼ mile via software update”, and that starting next month, while the Model X SUV will also improve the power boost by “0.1 sec on 0 to 60 mph and ¼ mile.”

According to the same Elon Musk, the Easter egg software will be hidden from the sight, customers having to look it up in the menu before the power update is activated.

The update allows the Model S P100D an acceleration which is more impressive than a McLaren P1 or a Ferrari LaFerrari, not to mention a Porsche 916 Spyder, which are quite astonishing as well. That comes handy, especially since the Model S already comes with an extremely quick acceleration from the factory.

The software update was first teased out a couple of weeks ago, with the same Elon Musk announcing some important upgrades for the Model S P100D, including an increased power boost; he also stated on the same Twitter account: “Forgot to mention there will be a P100D Ludicrous Easter egg soon that uncorks the full performance.”

In terms of visuals, the Tesla Model X P60D is wearing the car`s overall signature, the version offering the rear “Falcon” doors, an evolutionary design as well as the letter “D” at the rear, which indicates an all-wheel drive configuration.

Inside, the interior provides a six or a seven-seat capacity, along with the latest technology available. Also, the model also offers the particle arrest system, also called the “Bioweapon Defense Mode”, along with Autopilot feature, Supercharger function and more.

As common to all Tesla models, the Model X P60D comes with an extremely highly-efficient range, in this case 350 km range, and an impressive sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. And even if we are dealing here with a full-electric SUV, this would be a perfect choice against a Porsche Cayenne or BMW X5/X6.

The full details list is rather scarce at the moment, but we should expect fresh information towards the end of the year, when the model will reach Australian dealers.

Tesla recently upgraded the battery pack from the Model S, X and all-new 3 version, and the company has now turned its attention towards the Roadster version, also deciding to add-up some extra miles to its 3.0 battery pack.

The Tesla Roadster was recently caught by Electrek auto magazine running some tests with the R80 badge at its rear. This means that the convertible will come with a 3.0 battery pack that will run a full 80 miles, meaning a 40 percent mile increase.

The upgraded battery won`t come cheap however. According to the same publication, the batter pack will set you back at $29,000.

Representatives from Tesla also stated that the higher price is not reflected by their intention of making money, and represents more of a “show of appreciation for the support of early Tesla customers.”

On the other side, JB Straubel chief at Tesla, also mentioned that the price includes logistics and hand-built process, adding “additional work to remove, upgrade and reinstall the power electronics module.”

In case you are a Tesla Roadster fan and want to enjoy the extra mile range on the sunny American highways, then you can already make a $5,000 deposit and have it at your door in a couple of months, as the carmaker is now busy installing the new battery packs on the Model S, X and 3 versions.

The Electric GT World Series, that’s the name. Its aim is to be the first zero emission championship based on street cars. At its start, sometime next year, there will be present ten teams.

The schedule includes seven races, spread over the three interesting markets for electric cars: Europe, America and Asia. It will certainly include races on Barcelona, Estoril, Mugello and Donington tracks and the cars will be based on the Tesla Model S P85+. The standard model hits the first 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and develops 416 hp and 601 Nm of torque. The suspensions, brakes and cooling systems will be redesigned for track conditions. The total weight will be reduced, while a body kit will take care of the stability at high speeds. More, the cars will be modified to comply with the latest FIA safety standards. They have been tested on Catalunya F1 Circuit and Jarama Circuit, in Madrid, to ensure the best handling possible.

The two co-founders of the championship are Agustin Paya, owner of the championship, which will be in charge with the technical part, and Mark Gemmell as a CEO. They chose the Tesla Model S mainly for its dynamic performances and because it’s a mass production vehicle. However, any electric car manufacturer that wants to race in the championship is invited to join it. At the competition’s start, there will be ten teams, each one owning two cars. However, there is not the only electric car championship: the most prestigious of them is Formula E, which uses electric prototypes.

Could this be a good joke? How can an electric car emit CO2 in excess? It can, at least in Singapore.

Yes, you’re right: the electric cars do not emit any harmful gas in the atmosphere. However, there are CO2 emissions, because producing electricity means partially using fossil fuels. Here starts our story: in most of the countries, Tesla Model S owners receive a tax credit from the government. That’s why, when a guy called Joe Nguyen bought a Model S in Hong Kong and brought it in Singapore, he was hoping for a tax rebate. He first had to legalize the car, but it was no rebate at all. More, he had to pay a fine for failing the emission test, because the car isn’t environmentally friendly.

So, instead of an over 10.000 USD rebate, he was finned with 10.000 USD! That’s because the Model S needs a 444 Wh/km, which means the equivalent of 221g/km which, according to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) means excessive CO2 emissions. It is unknown how the LTA came with this number, since the real values are well below this one. According the US specs, it uses around 210 Wh/km.

Elon Musk said he had a talk with the Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong and the Asian official said that he will investigate the problem. In my opinion, the problem is that the kilometer in Singapore measures 2.000 meters, so probably they’ll have to re-measure it before repeat the test.
