Surely, along the way, the model has revived from the ashes, coming with an evolutionary design and interesting features. Speaking about design, one might depict the Ultramarine Blue body finish, the 15-inch alloy wheels, the black tailgate coming as optional, or the chrome exhaust tip.

The new Lancia Ypsilon 30th Anniversary is also updated inside, the cabin now tweaking the manual climate control, along with other worth-mentioning high-tech gizmos, like the Blue&Me technology, the multi-functioning steering wheel, all complemented by the black or beige Castiglio Fabric linings and a few more.

To close up the beautiful presentation, the Lancia Ypsilon 30th Anniversary will be equipped with some interesting powertrains, like the 1.2-liter Fire EVO II, developing 69 horsepower, the 1.2-liter Fire EVO II LPG, with the same 69 horsepower, the 0.9-liter TwinAir unit with 85 horsepower or the higher 1.3-liter MultiJet engine, developing 95 horsepower. The pricing details will be perhaps revealed next week, at the long-expected 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

It seems that the plan is to reduce production o a single model, the Ypsilon, which will only be available on the home market in Italy.

We are aware that Lancia isn’t really moving massive numbers of vehicles each year, but still, the legacy it leaves behind should be enough to at least try to spur things on. Also, the Italian market really isn’t the best market out there, even for a local manufacturer, and restricting sales to this country alone seems more like a death sentence for the single model.

This move also raises a lot of other questions: what happens when the Lancia Ypsilon finally runs its course and its time to retire? Will there be a model replacing it? Will the Ypsilon see another generation? Or will Fiat let the brand die along side the last of the models? I guess we’ll just wait and see. If nothing else, this move will at least raise prices on second hand Lancia models.

With this unit, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in 9,8 seconds with a top speed of 195 km/h. Inside, the entry-level model offers fabric seats, MP3 audio system and air conditioning.

The Silver trim level comes with Alcantara seats, dual-zone climate control, privacy glass and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Last but not least, the range-topping model could be fitted with perforated leather seats, rear parking sensors, larger alloy wheels and a rear armrest. The 2014 Lancia Delta will go on sale early next year.

We talk about the Lancia Delta S which comes with a 1.4-liter Turbo Jet engine producing 120 horsepower and a more potent 1.9-liter unit with 190 horses.

Styling tweaks include revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, 18-inch alloy wheels, revised optical blocks and dual-pipe exhaust system. Inside, Lancia provides new leather seats, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, special blue stitching, electric mirrors and a reworked steering wheel wrapped in leather.

“It is the new special series created from the renewed collaboration of two brands world-renowned for having contributed to the development of Italian design,” says the carmaker.

Pricing for the new Lancia Delta S starts at €23,400 for the base 120hp model while the more potent 190hp unit is offered for €26,400.

As you probably know, the new Voyager is the twin brother of Chrysler Town & Country in the States. Therefore, besides the new Lancia badges and few minor tweaks, the model is similar to its American counterpart.

Styling improvements include two special finishes, namely Maximum Steel and Billet Silver but also revised alloy wheels.

Under the hood, power will be provided by a 2.8-liter diesel unit producing 178 horses and 360Nm of torque. It enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 11,5 seconds with a top speed of 193 km/h.

The four-cylinder unit is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission and provides fuel economy figures of 7,9 liters/100km (29,7mpg US) and CO2 emissions of 207 g/km.

“The 2013 Lancia Voyager range offers the innovative ‘Trailer Sway Damping’ as standard,” adds Lancia.

Things will almost certainly not change very soon but there are a few reports on something that may happen in the future and change at least some of those opinions.

Most importantly, there’s a lot of talk going round about the way Lancia may be developing a brand new large coupe.

It will obviously be a corporately corrupted job that will see the Italian company build upon a shared platform and probably use other bits from related cars as well.

In this case, don’t think that what could be the successor to the Lancia Kappa Coupe will be anything new and revolutionary.

Truth be told, the recipe sounds pretty well. According to the reports the underpinnings could come from the Lancia Thema/Chrysler 300 sedan.

With that in mind, a car with a Lancia interior and a Chrysler 300 SRT8 performance level (or higher) sounds like the sort of car that would seriously be an option for the modern Mafia company car.

That’s why I’m eagerly awaiting a brand revival with this new large coupe as a flagship. It’s certainly a while away from the company’s bright past but it’s something to look forward to.

My take on it is that Lancia is a brand that’s suffering so badly now there’s nowhere to go but up. A really well sorted performance car would make things right again.

It’s the Chrysler Lancia Flavia Cabriolet and it will get a final production shape at the Swiss show.

We didn’t really know they were looking at more than one production shapes for the Lancia Flavia Cabrio, but the company does have some funny stuff for us.

It seems that they’ve managed to collect all sorts of data about the design direction they should pitch with the new Lancia drop top.

This data comes from the public and the media reactions at the variety of motor shows they’ve unveiled it at. Frankly, we don’t remember the launch occasions being that many, but there you go.

Since we can’t place any bets on the design, we might as well focus on what we know about the Lancia Flavia Cabrio’s final production form.

When it hits the European market it will be powered by a 2.4 liter inline four cylinder engine which develops 175 horsepower and is teamed to a six speed automatic gearbox.

Not exactly the most driver flattering of setups but then again, this isn’t what the nicely proportioned convertible is all about.

Tons of interesting equipment is going to be shoved into the dashboard and under the bonnet and that’s all great.

What will really make or break the Lancia Flavia Cabrio as a marketable car will be the prices Fiat-Chrysler will ask for it.

We watched videos of it, we were reading into every small bit of news and so on.

Once we heard of a chance at production and the US market spec sheet was available we were really hoping to see it happen in real life.

Sadly, that’s not really going to happen as we finally get official information on how the Lancia Stratos revival will stop at being a one off.

Mr. Michael Stoscheck, the man who contracted Pininfarina to build the new one has just announced that they will not be able to turn it into a production version.

That’s awful news for the 50 customers that had already put in their orders for one of these new Lancia Stratos models.

The real problem in not allowing the new nostalgic sports car is Ferrari, particularly the company’s CEO. It’s no wonder to see the prancing horse deny its partners the chance to build full cars but this time there’s a bit more of a rage moment.

It seems like the father of the new version of the Lancia Stratos has even posted a bit of a hateful message involving Amedeo Felisa’s name.

More or less justified, particularly as Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo did have a go at the new Stratos and he loved it and expressed his approval for the great job done by Pininfarina.

Along side the business man’s disappointment we find our crushed hopes and the thought that there’s only one very slim chance at seeing an actual modern interpretation of the Lancia Stratos.

As part of their effort to capture the market, a new compact/hatchback cropped up in the discussion and there was even speak of a possible Fiat rebadge.

As it happens, those plans can be labeled as water under the bridge because Chrysler recently came forward with an announcement that nullifies all hope of such a vehicle ever made by them.

Not only are they not going to make a compact hatchback for the U.S. market, they aren’t even going to rebadge one from Europe either.

It is a bit of a sad moment, but actually, I suppose the world will live on and Chrysler will probably do better in the future while going at a slightly slower pace.

Olivier Francois, head of Chrysler and Lancia was part of the announcement, mostly because the Lancia Ypsilon could have been that rebadged car.

At the end of the day, Chrysler may not really be capable of competing in that tight market like the one where heavyweights such as the Ford Focus, Chevrolet Cruze and Honda Civic exist.
