Subaru releases new photos and details on the 2014 Forester, a crossover model which will be seen for the first time at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.
From the beginning we are told that the version pictured below is the JDM model which will be available in Japan.
Compared to the global model, the JDM Forester gets minor styling tweaks but there is nothing radically changed so this is not an issue.
The engine range includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol unit capable to deliver 146 horsepower linked to a standard six-speed transmission or an optional CVT.
A more potent 2.0-liter turbocharged variant available exclusively with a CVT is offered by Subaru. The model in question is capable to produce no less than 276 horsepower, while, in North America, the new Subaru Forested will be offered with a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter boxer unit and a 2.0-liter with 250 horses.
