The new Audi Q5 Hybrid will probably make it’s debut at the upcoming Los Angeles Motor Show but, happily, the Ingolstadters spared some details ahead of it.
For starters, we know the 2011 Audi Q5 hybrid will be a full hybrid. Then we find the new Q5 hybrid will also be available in Quattro four wheel drive form.
And last but not least we find it will use two interesting engines. One’s an electric toy that creates no less than 44 horsepower and a petrol powered unit that’s indeed special. The petrol powered part of the Audi Q5 Hybrid will be a 2 liter TSI unit.
No word on just how much the turbocharged four pot TSI can out but we do know that in S mode, the entire hybrid powertrain shifts around 240 horsepower and some 354 lb-ft of torque.
Other hybridy, environmentally sound gizmos available on the 2011 Audi Q5 Hybrid lists stuff like a start/stop system, regenerative braking and a central computer that connects everything in the greenest way possible.
