The Mazda Japanese based carmaker has recently announced the availability of the updated 2016 Mazda3 in Australia, starting the 1st of August, the model coming available from the entry-level price of $20,490 and going all the way to $35,490 in the top of the line variant.

The 2016 Mazda3 is offered in six versions, each one available with a manual and an automatic transmission and coming with its own features and goodies.

For the base price, you get standard features, like smart key city brake, new G-Vectoring control system, electric power assisted steering system, new damper and suspension systems, and much more.

All versions will also come with the i-ACTIVESENSE safety technology, electric mirrors, rear parking sensors, drive selector switch and a plethora of safety systems like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist system or adaptive LED headlamps.

In the engine department, the 2016 Mazda3 updated version packs a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G petrol burner, developing 114 kW and 200 Nm of torque, while the more potent 2.5-liter SKYACTIV petrol churns out 138 kW and 250 Nm of torque. As aforementioned, each version comes with a standard manual transmission and an optional automatic gearbox.
