Shortly after announcing UK pricing for the 2014 Outback in the UK, the Japanese folks at Subaru revealed official details for the XV Crosstrek Hybrid.
Priced from $25,995 in the States, the new model is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 148 horses and 196Nm of torque.
In addition to that, a 13-horsepower electric motor is there as well as a Lineartronic CVT for fuel economy figures of 28mpg (city) and 34mpg (highway).
At the exterior, the new Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid comes with a special Plasma Green Pearl finish, new LED taillights, an active shutter grille, new alloy wheels and revised bumpers. Inside, you will benefit from a 4.3-inch display, a revised instrument cluster and new materials.
“The XV Crosstrek model has been an instant hit since going on sale in September 2012, selling approximately 45,000 units in its first year,” says Subaru.
The new Japanese model will go on sale in the United States towards the end of this year.
