VW Polo 1.0 TSI BlueMotion arrives in the UK at under £15K
UK buyers can now order the Volkswagen Polo 1.0 TSI BlueMotion, the first petrol engine benefiting from the BlueMotion technology on the Polo. The 1.0-liter TSI unit delivers 95 horses and 118 Nm of torque.
It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 10,5 seconds and is capable to hit a top speed of 191 km/h. The three-cylinder engine is paired to a five-speed manual transmission for a fuel economy of 68,9 mpg UK or 4,1 liters/100 km.
At the exterior, the VW Polo 1.0 TSI BlueMotion comes with an aerodynamic kit for improved economy and 15-inch Buenos Aires wheels with low-rolling resistance tires.
Inside, Volkswagen offers cruise control, alarm with remote central locking, DAB radio, USB connectivity and an infotainment system. The leather-covered steering wheel and the center armrest are also nice additions.
The three-door version of the VW Polo 1.0 TSI BlueMotion starts at £14,730 while the five-door version costs £15,360.
I wish this were available Stateside! We don’t have anything that gets anything close to 4.1L/100km. And it’s not a slow car, either.
