The Germans at Audi confirmed that the new RS5 Cabriolet, the high-performance variant of the open-top model, will be seen in world premiere at Detroit.
The 2013 NAIAS is just few days away, Audi also planning to bring the refreshed R8 supercar along with few other models at Detroit.

In the United States, the 2014 Audi RS5 Cabriolet will be offered with a 4.2-liter FSI engine producing 450 horsepower and 430Nm of torque.

With a total mass of 2,000 kilograms and plenty of power from the V8 powerplant, the German convertible is capable to do the 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4,9 seconds before it hits the limited top speed of 280 km/h.

“The iconic R8 represents the pinnacle of Audi performance while the RS 5 Cabriolet combines track-tested engineering with the freedom of open air driving,” adds Audi.

Both Audi R8 and RS5 Cabriolet will enter the North American market this year with official pricing figures following to be announces quite soon.
