Audi announces today that the A3 engine range will get a new member in the United Kingdom. We talk about a 1.2-liter TFSI engine capable to deliver 105 horsepower and 175Nm of torque.
It is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission which enables the German hatchback to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 10,3 seconds.
Fuel economy figures are rated at 57,6mpg UK and CO2 emissions of 114 g/km, numbers available for both manual and S tronic transmissions.
The 2013 Audi A3 fitted with the new 1.2-liter TFSI engine and the six-speed manual transmission starts at 17,905 while the range-topping S Line model with seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is priced at 22,760.
“The revised and updated 1.2-litre TFSI exemplifies the philosophy of downsizing and has been designed for low weight. Helped by Audi ultra lightweight construction technology,” says the carmaker.
