Mercedes finally announced pricing for their electric version of the B-Class. The Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive is the company’s competitor in this segment, coming at a price of $41,450 in the States.
It will go on sale this summer and packs a 28 kWh lithium-ion battery powering a 177-horsepower electric motor.
Thanks to 340 Nm of torque, the 0-100 km/h sprint is quite quick at 7,9 seconds with a top speed of 161 km/h. The electric driving range is estimated at 137 km with a charging time of 3,5 hours with a 240V charger.
At the exterior, the B-Class Electric Drive is quite similar to the standard model while inside, buyers will get power front seats, Active Parking Assist, Brake Assist, a Becker MAP PILOT navigation system and cruise control.
Optional equipment include GPS navigation, voice control and a 7-inch COMAND infotainment system.
