We all know that Mercedes and other carmaker offers long-wheelbase versions in China, therefore, we are not surprised to see a new larger model entering production. This time, we talk about the Mercedes C-Class L, the long-wheelbase version of the new C-Class generation.
The first model was rolled off the assembly line today with deliveries slated to begin this fall, in September.
Chinese customers value extra space, therefore, the C-Class L measures 4,766mm long with a wheelbase that has been increased by 80mm for extra legroom for the passenger seats.
The Mercedes C-Class is particularly an important model for the Germans as more than 150,000 vehicles of the previous generation were sold in China, making it the second biggest market for the model in question.
For this reason, Mercedes builds the new C-Class L in China, so they could move faster in terms of production and expect higher a number of sales.
