Range Rover plans to reveal in 2013 its first hybrid model, advanced by the Range Rover_e concept. The SUV promises an electric autonomy of 30 km. With the intention to align to the green trend, which included all global manufacturers, Land Rover unveils its vision of alternative propulsion. The British have developed a concept named Range Rover_e, able to anticipate some hybrid version, expected in 2013 just down the street.

The prototype is designed to expose public the hybrid technology, developed by the British engineers, and to test the public’s reaction. English manufacturer has developed a traditional hybrid system with a conventional engine assisted by an electric unit, both managed by a gearbox of eight reports, supplied by ZF.

The operating principle will be developed further in coming years, followed in 2015 to bring public a version that can be powered from outlet, able to offer an autonomy in electric mode for 30 km.
