Volkswagen decided to release new photos and details on the GTD version of the seventh-generation Golf. The German hatchback is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel unit producing 181 horses and 380Nm of torque.
Of course, the main selling point of the Golf GTD is the fuel economy which is rated at 4,2 liters/100km. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7,5 seconds with a top speed of 230 km/h.

Standard features of the new VW Golf GTD include 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, automatic climate control, ambience lighting and Driver Alert System.

At an extra cost, buyers can opt for Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, a premium audio system and much more.
