Volkswagen has good news for the UK buyers as they will bring the sportier Scirocco GTS to the market starting next year.
The GTS version of the new Volkswagen Scirocco comes with several styling tweaks including four new finishes (Candy White, Salsa Red, Deep Black and Indium Grey), larger 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof and racing stripes.
Power is provided by a 2.0-liter TDI diesel unit delivering 175 horsepower while a more potent 2.0-liter TSI with 207 horses is also available. A standard six-speed manual transmission is offered while an optional DSG gearbox will be available as well.
Inside, Volkswagen provides new GTS badges, leather upholstery, revised gearknob and sill plates, piano black inserts and new floor mats.
Official pricing figures for the British market start at £27,945 for the gasoline-powered manual model while the range-topping diesel version fitted with the DSG gearbox starts at £29,395.
