It seems that after the complete styling revolution the Lancer Evo undertook when Mitsubishi came out with the 10th generation is going to take a bit of a pause.
I’m saying this because the Japanese just announced the updates the Evo will be getting for 2011 and they’re back to their old tricks where they cross out a model year, write in a new one and add a different speed to the blinkers.
So here it is, the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO and it looks pretty much like the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO but there is a host of changes. Most of them are unnoticeable like the aerodynamic tweaks but some can actually be seen.
The new Mitsubishi Lancer EVO will offer the same traditional MR and GSR trim levels and the changes to distinguish each aren’t somewhat important. However if you want to make sure people take notice that you just bought a new 2011 model there is something that will obviously give it away.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO features a new exhaust that makes for a sportier tune.
There’s something to show off to your neighbors or friends on the interior as well because the Japanese just added a new FUSE system destined to help you handle calls via Bluetooth with an integrated music player and the very important Navigation system that includes a 40 Gb Hard Drive and a very capable function called Real Time Traffic which you can probably guess what it does.
