The Cayman version of the German supersports car has been on the market for only a while, and Porsche is already thinking of the second generation of the car. The cousin of the Cayman version, the Boxster, is also to be revived with a GTS variant.
As revealed in above spied shots, there are some clear differences between the 2014 Cayman GTS and the base Cayman and the Cayman S version, like the new bumpers. New intakes and LED daytime lights at the front and a new diffuser insert at the rear. The wheels are remodeled as well.
The new generation Cayman GTS and the Boxster GTS will come equipped with an extra 15-horsepower bump, meaning that the Cayman GTS will receive a total 340 horsepower while the Boxster GTS will get 330 ponies.
The two models will also feature the Porsche`s PASM active suspension damping and PDK dual-clutch as an optional alongside a standard manual transmission.
As for the present model Cayman, the car has just been nominated the winner of Best Car to Buy 2014 award, due to its ability to combine extraordinary handling and styling. The Cayman GTS however, will set the bars even higher.
Both cars is likely to make their debut either at the Geneva Motor Show in March or at the Beijing Auto Show in Beijing, having a starting price of around $75,000.
