We’ve got official details from Nissan which reveal that the next-generation GT-R will get a hybrid powertrain. Andy Palmer, Nissan’s marketing chief stated that the new model will benefit from a hybrid configuration.

The Japanese company denied to tell us more specific details while the launch date was also kept secret. However, we expect to see the new Nissan GT-R launched in 2015 as a 2016MY.

Another interesting fact revealed by Andy Palmer is that the new Nissan GT-R Nismo will get periodically upgrades, once a year to be more exact.

With this been said, we have to wait for the Tokyo Motor Show this month as Nissan may release new information on their new GT-R.
