The 2016 Paris Motor Show is opening its gates in a couple of days and a lot of carmakers worldwide have already announced their latest rides at the event.
The South Koran Kia company is also preparing the all-new 2017 Rondo for an official introduction, with the model to be already introduced ahead the event with a lot of updates compared to the prior version.
We are dealing here with a lot of features to make the new 2017 Kia Rondo special, especially in Australia where the model can also be had with the “S” version, meaning a five-seat configuration and a lot of cargo space inside.
The S version joins the seven-seat Si and will become the official replacer of the Platinum variant, with more details to be announced later on.
Meanwhile, the 2017 Kia Rondo facelift comes with some makeovers at the body styling and interior, including the “tiger-nose” front grille, a choice of 16-, 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, Mysterious Blue exterior color, while the cabin welcomes you with higher-end materials like carbon-fiber trim, knit-cloth upholstery in black and beige and the latest technology.
The gadgetry refers to the 7.0- and the 8.0-inch touchscreen MMI, satellite navigation, Apple and Android connectivity, JBL premium sound system, adding safety features like rear cross traffic alert, blind-spot detection or rearview camera.
In the engine department, the 2017 Kia Rondo is equipped with the 17-liter diesel engine with 85 kW, which burns out a reduced 109 g/km CO2 emissions figure. The engine is also hooked to an updated ratio for the transmission. The price tags for the model will be known at a later date.
