There is no doubt that the new Skoda Octavia is getting closer and closer to its debut day. The Czech model has been caught undisguised today in Chile during a photo shoot in Santiago.

Inspired by the Skoda VisionD concept, the new model is based on the MQB platform and will be offered with a wide range of engines borrowed from Volkswagen.

To be more specific, the new Octavia will be available with 1.2-liter and 1.4-liter TSI engine with outputs ranging from 104hp to 138hp but also 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter TDI units with 104hp and 148hp.

In terms of styling, the third-generation Octavia benefits from new optical blocks, a revised front grille, larger alloy wheels, a slightly revised shape and other minor tweaks in the back.
