The Germans at Audi released official pricing details on the new A3 Cabriolet, a model unveiled in world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The entry-level SE model is fitted with a 1.4-liter TFSI engine producing 140 horsepower and starts at £25,790.
Next up is the 150-horsepower 2.0-liter TDI and a more potent 1.8-liter TFSI with 180 horses. If the latter starts from £30,270, the TDI diesel powerplant is priced from £27,240.

Due to the foldable soft roof, the trunk capacity is decreased to 275 liters. The roof can be operated in 18 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h.

At the exterior, buyers will get standard 16-inch alloy wheels, a black automatic hood but also DAB digital radio, iPod connectivity and air conditioning inside.

The better-equipped Sport and S grades are available with a special acoustic soft top which will provide a better sound absorption. This feature is also offered on the base SE version but only for extra money.
