Fiat’s advertising campaign is moving along quite nicely, with a recent video for the 500 Abarth taking a different approach.
This most recent endeavor targets the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio, and the result is a photo made with body painted women forming the vehicle’s shape.
Along with the photo, a video was released, detailing the project and what went into making it. The goal of the artist in charge was to achieve the best result without resorting to post processing software like photoshop. In order to achieve this, a lot of planning was involved before actually starting to paint the performers.
And while as a general rule, the female body in an advertisement is a good (or at least common) way to sell a product, some might not agree that this brings honor to the Fiat brand, even if the photo was created for use in the ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue.
