The Fiat Italian based automaker has big plans with the Punto model, as it intends to replace it with another version in 2016.
But there is no official confirmation made so far, as it is only a part of a report that states the replacement of the Fiat Punto, after the model being on the market for so long.
Automotive News Europe publication announced on their behalf that the Fiat Punto will be replaced in 2016, with the model being “rebadged as the 500 Plus.”
Thus, the 500 family will be completely reunited with this model, proudly standing alongside the three-door 500 and the 500L small minivan.
The fresh new Fiat 500 Plus is supposed to be built at Tychy, the Italian`s plant in Poland, which also houses the production of the classic 500 mini, unlike the present model Punto, which is manufactured at Melfi plant.
The Italian automaker is already considering about investing around 784 million USD in the assembly line in Poland, which means investing in machinery and employing more workers.
