You see, the Ford Fiesta R2 rally kit was developed in collaboration with M-Sport. And since M-Sport is at the other end of Ford’s long lasting rally partnership the R2 kit actually qualifies the buyer to compete in the Fiesta Sport Trophy Championship which will be a group of the Rally America Series 2WD class.
The actual kit includes a job on the engine that brings the output up to 168 horsepower and 134 lb-ft of torque (40% more than in stock form) and also offers up a five-speed Sadev sequential gearbox. Other interesting changes bring you Reiger adjustable dampers, a set of Eibach springs and some ventilated disc brakes with four-piston calipers.
