The Germans at Porsche officially launched the online configurator for the new 918 Spyder, a high-performance hybrid model which will be available in a limited series.
With a steep starting price of $845,000, the 918 Spyder comes with a carbon fiber body, a total of 12 exterior finishes, large alloy wheels, leather seats, three steering wheel designs, six-point seatbelts, carbon fiber trim and more.

Interesting enough, Porsche offers special stone guard film capable to protect certain parts from paintwork problems, mainly the aprons and side skirts.

Under the hood of the sports car sits a 4.6-liter V8 powerplant offering 608 horsepower while the two electric motors add another 286 horses for a total output of 887hp and 917Nm of torque.

With such power, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in 2,8 seconds with a top speed of 345 km/h. If you use the electric mode, you can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds with a top speed of 150 km/h. The German model comes with a 6,8 kWh lithium-ion battery and with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
