So what have the Japs got on sale this time apart from a new Impreza with a longer name?

Well, sit tight, if you thought the regular Subaru Impreza STI was hot, the Spec C is definitely on fire.

The new Spec C leaves the factory in an already impressive tuner state. There’s a new aluminium hood along with weight saving all over the car that’s somewhat more difficult to spot.

On the plus point, the engine now has reduced-friction ball bearings for the twin-scroll turbocharger and a reprogrammed ECU to eek every last bit of extra power out of the infamous 2.0 liter boxer engine.

The new output is now 310 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque.

In order to keep that in check the Subaru Impreza STI Spec C has a mechanical limited slip differential this time and new wheels and tires. The lightweight 18-inches alloy wheels are focused at road holding performance and so is the rubber around them which is branded by Bridgestone Potenza.
