Seat presents today the new Ibiza Cupra, a sports model which comes with an updated design and a powerful engine under the bonnet. To be more precise, the Spanish model is motivated by a 1.4-liter petrol unit capable to deliver 180 horsepower and 250Nm of torque.
A seven-speed DSG gearbox transfers the power to the wheels and makes the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration possible in 6,9 seconds with a top speed of 228 km/h.
Seat also announced fuel consumption figures of 47,9 mpg UK (39,9mpg US or 5,9liters/100km)
In terms of exterior styling, the facelift treatment includes new LED daytime running lights, a set of 17-inch alloy wheels, revised front and rear bumpers, trapezoidal exhaust pipes and a rear diffuser. The new Seat Ibiza Cupra also comes with some performance tweaks including an electronic differential lock, a lowered chassis, new ESP system and more.
UK pricing starts at £18,825 with the first deliveries going to take place starting 2013.
