Mercedes officially revealed the new S63 AMG, the high-performance variant of the all-new S-Class sedan. The German flagship model benefits now from AMG treatment which means more power but also decent comfort.
At the exterior, there is a body kit including new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, 19-inch alloy wheels, a four-pipe exhaust system and a revised bonnet.

Power will be provided by a 5.5-liter V8 powerplant producing 585 horsepower and 900Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes only 4,4 seconds with a top speed limited at 250 km/h.

Even so, the new V8 powerplant is Euro 6 compliant and returns fuel economy numbers of 27,9mpg UK (10 liters/100km) and CO2 emissions of 237 g/km for the rear-wheel drive model.

In terms of features, the new model comes with a retuned suspension, a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission, start/stop button and much more.

A high-performance AMG ceramic composite brake system can be ordered as well. The German carmaker will offer the new S63 AMG in both long and short wheelbase variants.
