Toyota officially unveiled the new Sai sedan, the 2014MY which is actually a facelifted version of the current model.
Designed for the Japanese market, the Toyota Sai comes with new front and rear bumpers, LED headlights, a restyled grille, 16-inch alloy wheels, new Grey Mica, Clear Stream and Red Mica finishes and new taillights.
Power is offered by a 2.4-liter unit producing 150 horsepower and 187Nm of torque. However, that’s not all as there is also an electric motor adding an extra 40 horses and 270Nm of torque.
Fuel economy figures are rated at 4,4 liters/100km or 52,6 mpg US. At the interior, Toyota offers a premium ten-speaker audio system, a new center console, wood trim, metal accents and USB connectivity.
“With the Sai, TMC has achieved its target of 20 percent usage of Ecological Plastic and recycled resin materials for resin parts in vehicles two years ahead of schedule,” says the Japanese carmaker. Pricing starts from ¥3,210,000 in Japan.
