Today, Chevrolet showed us the 2017 Colorado Shoreline. It is an important model for them because last year, the midsize pickup market grew with 74 percent.
It’s made especially for the Californian market, where the most midsized pickups have been sold in 2015. The sales number is so big, that the next two markets combined can’t reach the number of pickups sold there. To answer this specific market demand, the Shoreline pack will be available on the extended cab versions, either with two or four wheels drive. It is based on the LT trim, and to match even better the Californian style, the new package will be offered in bright body colors combined with black trim and near zero chrome elements.
The available colors will be Summit White, Silver Ice Metallic, Red Hot or Laser Blue. The front grill will be painted in the body color, while the mirror housing, the door handles and the beltline will share the 18 inch wheels black paint. On the useful features’ side, the spray-in bedliner, the all-weather floor mats and subscription for one year at Sirius XM radio.
This new edition is intended to help the well-known Californian surfers carry their surfboards or – why not – snowboards and joins the other Chevrolet special editions, like Silverado Special Ops, Silverado Realtree, Colorado Trail Boss and Colorado Z71 Midnight. The Colorado engine line includes a 2.8 liter turbo diesel Duramax developing 181 hp powertrain and two gasoline engines: a four cylinder 2.8 liter averaging 27 mpg and a 3.6 liter V6 for heavy-duty loads.
