It seems that General Motors decided not to wait for the upcoming Detroit Motor Show, an event which opens its gates early next year, and unveil the 2014 Silverado pick-up truck.
Chevrolet packs a series of three new EcoTec3 units under the bonnet, namely a 4.3-liter V6, a 5.3-liter V8 and a range-topping 6.2-liter V8.
On the outside, the American model comes with revised bumpers, larger 17- to 20-inch alloy wheels, LED bed lighting, flared fenders, a dual power dome hood and a revised front grille.
Inside, Chevrolet fits the new Silverado pick-up truck with USB connectivity, 12-volt outlets, MyLink infotainment system, a 4.2-inch touch screen display and a restyled dashboard.
“The 2014 Silverado will become part of Chevrolet’s three-truck portfolio, designed to let customers select the right truck for their needs,” says Chevrolet.
Further details on pricing will be released next month at the Detroit Motor Show. However, we do know that the new Silverado is scheduled to go on sale somewhere next summer.
