What I personally like about Lotus models is not their looks, it`s their aerodynamics and extremely lightweight architecture that make them extremely fast when sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h. And need I remind you, they do not come with such extraordinary powertrains, like a BMW M3 or Audi RS3.
Hoever, the new Exige managed to impress us with a special version that was recently launched on the market, namely the Exige 350 Special Edition.
The model comes available at the exterior with a nice colour palette, including Essex Blue, Dark Metallic Grey, Old English White and Motorsport Black.
As aforementioned, the Exige, as most of other Lotus high-end models, comes with advanced aerodynamics and handling capabilities. At the exterior, the 350 Special Edition comes with the carmaker`s signature in terms of design, with the main focus on the car`s lightweight forged alloy wheels and a plethora of carbon tweaks inside.
We are looking here at bespoke access panel cover, lightweight carbon-fiber sports seats, black leather and Alcantara upholstery with contrast stitching, Lithium ion battery and more.
As for the car`s high-tech gizmos, these refer to the new entertainment system with iPod connectivity and Bluetooth, cruise control and so on.
In the engine department, the Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition packs a supercharged engine which is capable of delivering 345 horsepower, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.7 seconds. The topping is set at 274 km/h.
As for the pricing tag, this might be a spicy one, setting you back at 61,900 pounds in the UK or 81,900 euros in the rest of Europe.
