Volvo announced the official pricing for the brand new V40 hatchback, a model seen in world premiere in March at the Geneva Auto Show.
The entry-level model is powered by a 1.6-liter D2 diesel with 115 horsepower and a fuel economy of 78,5mpg UK.

Next up is a 2.0-liter five-cylinder unit able to develop 150hp and 177hp, depending on what version you choose. On the other hand, the petrol range includes a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine also available in two power variants: 150 and 180 horsepower.

There are three different trim levels (ES, SE and SE LUX) for the new V40 hatchback, a model which will arrive in the United Kingdom in September.

The ES model benefits from 16-inch alloy wheels, power windows, Traction Control, Electronic Climate Control, Volvo City Safety system and also, for the first time, a pedestrian airbag.
If you opt for the SE package you will get cruise control, autofolding power door mirrors and Textile upholstery inside.

The range-topping SE LUX model gets LED daytime running lights, 17-inch Mannan alloys, a 7-inch display screen, satellite navigation and active xenon lights. If the Volvo V40 ES starts at £19,745, the fully equipped SE LUX is priced from £26,795.
