The 2017 Ford Focus RS is an exceptional racer with advanced aerodynamics, lightweight properties and an impressive performance under the hood, all of them making it perfect for the track.

Recently, the model was tested out on the Ring by journalists from Sport Auto magazine, who wanted to find out how fast the new Focus is around the track. Amazingly, they found more than they could imagine.

After blowing up the tracks with the newly unveiled Mercedes-AMG GT R, the real Green Beast with whopping power and advanced styling, the journalists have gotten their hands on the new MK III Ford Focus RS.

As you can see in the video below, the 2017 Ford Focus RS is extremely fast, and thanks to its lightweight chassis, advanced mechanics and powertrain under the hood, it managed to set a new lap record of 8 minutes and 6 seconds, which for a front-wheel drive model that is pretty fantastic.
