The 2016 Paris Motor Show was a good opportunity for the South Korean based carmaker Hyundai to unveil the long-awaited 2018 i30 hatchback, the model receiving a big round of applause from the audience.

And the car`s official unveiling was the perfect timing for rendering artists like RMCar Design to already portraying it with a wagon body styling. The rendering is based however on the model`s arrival in 2018 and will come with rather similar design as the estate but with a different rear end, as expected.

As we can depict from the rendering, the 2018 Hyundai i30 Wagon would come with a longer wheelbase, depicting increased space inside, with enough cargo capacity for all passengers.

Otherwise, the model would feature the same headlights but with modified taillights and updated rear bumper.

Inside, in terms of interior design and gizmos, the wagon would look exactly as the estate, all tweaked with the latest safety features, including Smart Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and so on. Other features also include the eight-inch display, MyMusic functionality, premium audio system and rearview camera.

In the engine department, the 2018 Hyundai i30 Wagon will borrow the same engine lineup from the i30 estate, meaning three petrol burners and diesels, with power ranging between 94 horsepower and 138 horsepower.

Once unveiled in 2018, the hot i30 wagon will compete against the new Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus, Opel Astra or Renault Megane.
