It is not that frequent that we get to see a real standout model arriving at BMW`s most exclusive deal in the world, the one and only BMW Abu Dhabi, the oasis of the most exotic BMW models ever seen.
BMW Abu Dhabi`s representatives were more than happy to welcome a Lava Green wrapped BMW i8, which looks extremely exclusive and coming with imposing attitude. The high-class attitude is also given by the carbon aero kit provided by the famous AC Schnitzer.
It is almost like a blessing when seeing a hot BMW, including the gorgeous i8, getting its share of respect with an AC Schnitzer aero kit. And for the last ten years, the tuner have been involved in hundreds of BMW customizations.
The carbon aero kit itself comes with some one-off parts, like carbon fiber front spoiler, rear spoiler, side sills which perfect match the exterior color. Also, out i8 seen here is also wearing the tuner`s custom wheels, coming in a Brushed metal and adding a more imposing attitude.
As far as the engine goes, we have reasons to believe that the Lava Green BMW i8 is still packing the stock hybrid drivetrain, which is mighty impressive.
We are looking here at a 1.5-liter engine paired to an electric motor and a 7.1 kWh lithium ion-battery. The overall power stands at an impressive 362 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The model comes with an electric range of 30 km achieved at a top speed of 120 km/h, with a maximum total range of 440 km.
The hybrid drivetrain sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, while the sprint from 80 to 120 km/h is done in 4.0 seconds. The topping stands at 250 km/h.
