As a massive petrolhead, a big fan of driving and performance, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I knew I didn’t like Bugatti.

Sure their latest project, the Galibier is a bit of a stretch for my tastes but the only way I can imagine it is a performance vehicle.

This is why, in none of the dreams I had driving it, or simply ogling it, there was not one occasion where I saw the Bugatti Galibier as a hybrid.

Why is that important? Because reports are coming on how Bugatti might just offer an optional extra in the form of hybrid drive.

I am not the biggest fan of hybrids, but using a hybrid drivetrain in a Bugatti, albeit a Galibier is simply stupid. I mean, if you want to make a Bugatti, you make it without any compromise.

A 200 mph+ four door ultimate luxury saloon that has more technology in the ashtray than I do in my computer, that’s what the Bugatti Galibier should be.

If you’re worried about the W16 engine being heavy on the petrol this isn’t really for you. If your main concern when buying a car is fuel economy, I’m thinking 16 cylinders is way too much for you.

Seriously, just look at the supremely dominance presence of the Bugatti Galibier and tell me it should have the pious appeal of hybrid technology.
