Cadillac is a company that’s responsible for people dropping jaws quite a few times.
After creating some of the first cars with a Gangster proof design they went on to create pimp-mobiles, aircraft carriers and recently sports cars.
It is this last stage in GM’s luxury brand that is most interesting of all. Going from slush-mobiles to the world’s fastest saloon car, the CTS-V is quite a step.
The CTS-V’s estate version claimed the same title in estate territory and when Cadillac announced the CTS-V Coupe that jaw dropping action went spiraling towards a climax.
In order to push fans a little over the edge of excitement, Cadillac just announced that they plan to take the CTS-V Coupe racing. The competition chosen for the little Caddy’ is the SCCA World Challenge.
Cadillac will be racing in the event with a factory team running two vehicles, both of which will be prepped by the Pratt & Miller shop. Since they did the monstrous Chevrolet Corvette race cars I guess they’re up to the job.
The first sighting of the real life Cadillac CTS-V Coupe racer will be recorded at the Detroit Motor Show of next year’s January.
