Hyundai presented the i30 SR concept at this year’s edition of the AIMS (Australian International Motor Show) held in Sydney.

The South Korean car manufacturer says that this concept is based on the i30 Elite variant and previews an upcoming top-of-the-range i30 version.

Under the bonnet sits a more powerful 2.0-liter engine capable to deliver 174 horsepower and 213Nm of torque, an important improvement over the standard 147 horses.

In terms of styling, the new Hyundai i30 SR concept comes with larger 17-inch alloy wheels, a new rear diffuser, LED daytime running lights and a revised black front grille.

Entering the cabin you will find high quality materials, several parts covered in leather and red accents.

It remains to be seen if Hyundai will fit the upcoming i30 hatchback with all these features found on the concept model or it will retain just the more powerful gasoline engine.
