The Lotus Exige S is, as we all know, a powerful little supercar built in the UK. As most of these models in this category, they don’t sell in outrageous numbers mainly considering their price point.
However, the British folks at Lotus announced that the Exige S has now hit the 1000th milestone with top 3 countries in terms of popularity being Japan, UK and Switzerland.
The Lotus Exige S saw ‘the light” for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2012. The British two-seater packs a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable to deliver 350 horses and 400 Nm of torques.
These figures might not be very impressive but considering the model’s dimensions and weight, the performance is top notch.
“Our customers want a pure driving experience and the Exige S epitomizes the Lotus DNA of performance and handling excellence,” said Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Lotus.
