Peugeot prepared a series of concepts for the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, the 208 Hybrid FE being the first one to hit the web ahead of the official debut.

While the specifications are not confirmed yet, we get to see the exterior appearance of the French prototype. It comes with new front and rear bumpers, 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with special tires and a rear air diffuser.

All these features are optimized to provide a better air flow while the side mirrors area replaced with cameras, also to reduce drag.

Under the hood we expect to see a 1.2-liter unit alongside an electric motor for a fuel economy of 2,1 liters/100km or 135mpg UK. CO2 emissions are also expected to be somewhere around 50 g/km.
